Baba Ademola Ekulona, Elder of the Egbe in Harriet Tubman City (Baltimore, Maryland), gave a lecture in 2012 about the Yoruba concept pf Iwa’Pele, or “Good Character”.  In 2013, he agreed to have his lecture recorded and paired with the PowerPoint slide show he had developed to create a video.  This video is the result of that work.  It’s a rather lengthy presentation (about 90 minutes), but if you want a good understanding of one of the Yoruba concepts dealing with developing into a responsible, productive adult, this discussion will be worth your time.
